Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): It helps relieve symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, and inflammation of the esophagus caused by the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus.

Stomach ulcers and Helicobacter pylori infection: It is used in combination with antibiotics to treat stomach ulcers or intestinal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.

NSAID-induced ulcers: It is prescribed to prevent and treat ulcers in the upper part of the gut caused by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or aspirin.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: It is used to manage the excessive production of stomach acid associated with a rare condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which involves the presence of a tumor in the pancreas.
