The book Muntakhab Ahadith is a selection of Ayaat, authentic Ahadith, and explanations from Classical as well as contemporary Scholars.

Relating to the Six Qualities of adapted by the work of Dawat and Tabligh (Tabligh Jamat, Khuruj Fi Sabillillah).

Originally written in Arabic by Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Kandhlawi also know as Hazratjee during the last phase of his devoted life. 

He collected all the relevant principles, rules, and precautions from their original sources. He has been so comprehensive and extensive that this book is not merely a compilation of these principles, rules, and instructions, but perhaps an encyclopedia, in brief, with their relative importance. 

This work was organized and translated into Urdu by his grandson, Maulana Muhammad Saad Kandhlawi, and this English Translation was Supervised and authorized By Hadhrat Maulana Muhammad Sa'ad Khadhlawi (Current (May 2015) Ameer of the Tabligh Movement).

The Author was the Son of Maulana Ilyas the founder of the Movement and also followed him as the Amir or Leader of the Work whose base in Basti Nizamuddin Auliya, New Delhi-13 (India).

This book is perhaps intended for its followers who focus principally on the six points during their talks, speeches, or Bayaans (in fact they are not permitted to delve outside the six points unless they are qualified Scholars).

This book is also useful to those wanting to study or know about this Movement.

The Author has relied mainly on Authentic Hadith and Works of renowned Classical Scholars.

The  six Point are as follows:

  • Kalima tayyibah  (Attestation of faith i.e. La ilaha ill Allahu; Muhammadun Rasul-Allah -There is no deity but God; Muhammad salat is the Apostle of God) ).
  • The Salat.
  • Ilm (Knowledge of Islamic texts) and Dhikr
  • Ikram-e-Muslim (Respect for Muslims).
  • Ikhlas-e-Niyat (Purity of intention and sincerity).
  • Da'wah
  • A Chapter on Avoiding the Irrelevant
